Police are appealing for information following an incident where an individual wearing a mask vandalized a family-owned restaurant in Doncaster, Yorkshire. The perpetrator used a hammer to break five windows of the Antep Bar and Grill and then splattered paint on the building. The owners, Dektas and Satma Polat, who have been living in the UK for over three decades, were shocked by the attack and spent hours cleaning up the damage. Satma expressed her love for England and Doncaster, expressing confusion over why someone would target their establishment.
The cost of repairing the broken windows is estimated to be around £1,700, as each window on the restaurant’s front was shattered. The restaurant took to social media to express disappointment over the incident and announced temporary closure for repairs. The owners emphasized their commitment to serving the community despite facing such setbacks.
South Yorkshire Police reported the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation. The authorities are looking for leads to identify the culprit responsible for the vandalism.
