The crew of Flight 4345 confirmed that there were 231 individuals on board when the collision happened. Emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene, but no injuries were reported among the passengers. Unconfirmed reports from social media indicated that a pedestrian wandered onto a runway at the airport and was hit by the Frontier jet during takeoff. The plane aborted its takeoff as smoke and fire were detected inside the cabin, prompting the swift evacuation of passengers.

This occurrence follows a recent incident where a United Airlines flight struck a bakery lorry on the New Jersey Turnpike while preparing to land at Newark Liberty International Airport.
According to Chuck Paterakis, senior vice president of transportation and logistics at HandS Bakery, the driver of the bakery lorry, Warren Boardley Jr., collided with the aircraft as he was exiting the motorway. The impact caused damage to the lorry’s window and windscreen, resulting in injuries to the driver’s arm and hand.
The Boeing 767 flight, originating from Venice, Italy, also hit a light pole during its landing at Newark. United Airlines confirmed that the aircraft landed safely despite the contact with the light pole, with no injuries reported among passengers or crew. The maintenance team is assessing the damage to the aircraft to determine the cause of the incident.
