Commander Helen Flanagan, Head of CTP London, emphasized the significance of the arrests in the ongoing investigation, stating that efforts are being made to identify and prosecute all individuals involved in attacks on Jewish, Israeli, and Iranian establishments. She stressed the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in preventing such hateful acts.
Detective Superintendent Oliver Richter, responsible for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, condemned the attack at the synagogue, which was in the process of being sold to a local Somali Muslim group. He affirmed the community’s united stand against such acts of hate, reiterating that intolerance towards hate crimes is non-negotiable.
The Metropolitan Police reported a total of 33 arrests in connection with various CTP investigations, including incidents involving Hatzola ambulances. Eight individuals have been charged so far, including a 17-year-old who admitted guilt in an arson attack on Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow.
Authorities urged the public to report any suspicious behavior to the police to ensure the safety of communities and prevent further incidents of violence and hate crimes.
