Police in Exmouth have issued an appeal following reports of a teenage girl being approached and sexually assaulted by two men. The incident occurred in the Gipsy Lane area on Thursday between 4pm and 5.30pm. The victim is receiving support from specialized officers while investigations are ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the inquiries. Detectives from Devon and Cornwall Police are seeking cooperation from the public to help shed light on the case.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the police stated, “We are investigating a reported sexual assault in Exmouth and appeal to the community for any information that may aid in our investigation. The victim was allegedly assaulted by two males in the Gipsy Lane area. Specialized officers are providing support to the victim during this time.”
