An American tourist is currently missing in the Scottish Highlands, prompting urgent search efforts. Authorities in Scotland are seeking Adam Chalmers, 36, who was last in contact at 12.40pm on Saturday in the Ben Lawers mountain range. Chalmers had plans to ascend the Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh, and An Stuc Munros, with one summit remaining at the time of his last communication.
Described as white, 5ft 11in tall, and of stocky stature, Chalmers is bald with a medium-length brown beard. He was dressed in a green and blue triangle-patterned fleece, a grey and black waterproof jacket, green walking trousers, a blue cap, and brown boots, carrying a rucksack with orange elastic ties.
Inspector Iain Gillies appealed for information on Adam’s whereabouts, especially from fellow hillwalkers who were in the Lawers area on Saturday. Any details that could help locate him or determine his route are crucial. Individuals with information are urged to contact the police at 101, quoting incident 2881 of May 23.
