Police officers in Thailand went undercover in drag costumes to apprehend a drug smuggler at a street dance festival in Lopburi province. The operation, led by Police Colonel Panthep Panadi, resulted in the arrest of the suspect, Mekha Fa-wap-wap, who was found in possession of methamphetamine pills and drug paraphernalia.
Following the successful bust, the police squad shared a photo on social media showing the suspect and the officers in their elaborate costumes. The post garnered significant attention with over a thousand likes and numerous comments, including some humorous exchanges with users.
This unconventional approach is not new for Thai law enforcement, as they have previously used unique disguises such as dragon costumes to capture suspects. In a separate incident earlier this year, police dressed as dragons to apprehend a thief accused of stealing Buddhist artifacts.
