Smirking suspect Christian Brueckner, the prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case, has been relocated from a secure residence shortly after his release from prison. Police vehicles arrived in a quiet neighborhood in northern Germany yesterday to escort Brueckner, a convicted sex offender, from the apartment he had been residing in. Dressed in a green hoodie and pants, he was ushered into a police vehicle and swiftly driven away. Brueckner, aged 48, had been staying in the town for nine days following his release from Sehnde prison, close to Hanover, where he served a seven-year sentence for the 2005 rape of an American woman in Portugal.
Subsequently, he was seen enjoying a burger at a highway McDonald’s and was captured on CCTV purchasing a mobile phone, seemingly amused as he displayed his ankle monitor. Allegedly, he boasted to a store owner about having information that could potentially resolve a major scandal.
Local social media groups in the area had been buzzing with speculations about the presence of the convicted sex offender in their town.
