The family of a man who tragically passed away in a river is urging the public to be cautious. Greg Howes, aged 44, was discovered by dive teams searching the River Yare in Surlingham on the Norfolk Broads over the weekend. Emergency responders arrived on the scene at 2:33 pm on Friday and continued searches overnight. His family described him as beloved and someone who cherished spending time on the Norfolk Broads.

In a separate incident on Friday, friends and family paid tribute to a teenager who lost his life at Bracklinn Falls near Callander in Perthshire. The body of Charlie Noble, aged 16, was recovered from the water after concerns were raised to the authorities at 6:45 pm.
Tragically, a 13-year-old girl became the 17th victim in water-related incidents during the recent heatwave. She was found in the River Wharfe near Skipton, airlifted to the hospital, but unfortunately did not survive. Additionally, a woman in her 60s became the 16th casualty in a water-related incident while trying to rescue her pet dog in Thornton-Cleveleys. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to the incident.
