Joint administrators from Richard J Smith & Co have taken over the Quayside Hotel in Brixham, overlooking the harbor. The hotel closed in late 2022 for renovations but never reopened.

The Quayside Hotel, known for its historic charm and views of Brixham harbor, was undergoing upgrades to its rooms and dining areas. Despite plans to reopen last year, the hotel ceased operations and is now in administration, according to BusinessLive.

The hotel’s website once highlighted its picturesque location and amenities, including sea view rooms, four-poster beds, free Wi-Fi, and live entertainment. Guests could enjoy views of fishing trawlers from the Quayside Restaurant and Ernie Lister bar.
