“Formula 1 Champion Lewis Hamilton Mourns Bulldog Roscoe’s Passing”

Date:

Lewis Hamilton has shared the heartbreaking news of his bulldog Roscoe’s passing. The seven-time Formula 1 champion had been with Roscoe since rushing him to the vet on Wednesday due to a rapid decline in health.

Despite efforts to save Roscoe, including sedation and medical procedures after his heart stopped, Hamilton revealed on social media that the beloved bulldog had slipped into a coma. Sadly, Roscoe did not recover, and Hamilton announced his passing, thanking fans for their support.

Roscoe, who had been part of Hamilton’s life since 2013, often accompanied the racing star to F1 events across Europe. The bulldog, known for overcoming previous health challenges, made his last public appearance at the British Grand Prix in July.

Hamilton, who had planned to take Roscoe to the Italian Grand Prix, decided to stay by his pet’s side instead of attending a scheduled event. The racing champion’s decision led to reserve driver Zhou Guanyu taking his place on the track.

Roscoe, with his own popular Instagram page boasting 1.3 million followers, had become a well-known figure in the F1 community. Hamilton’s decision to prioritize being with his loyal companion during his final moments resonated with fans worldwide.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can now enjoy live coverage of all events through Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering significant savings along with access to over 100 TV channels, Netflix, and Discovery+ subscriptions.
