Police are seeking assistance from the public following the abduction of a four-year-old child while his mother was attending to a baby.
The young boy disappeared while playing near a fish pond at a local park in Sandwell, near Birmingham. After being missing for a brief period, he was discovered in nearby woodland. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon at Haden Hill Park in Cradley Heath off Halesowen Road.
Authorities are in the early stages of the investigation and are speaking with the child and his family to determine the exact sequence of events. The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens, short in stature with curly hair, clean-shaven, and dressed in black attire.
Although believed to be an isolated event, the police acknowledge the community’s concerns and are urging anyone with information to come forward. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and witnesses are encouraged to provide any mobile footage they may have captured.
