Police are investigating after a woman’s body was discovered at a care home in Rooty Hill, Sydney. The emergency services responded to the facility on Evans Road around 11:45 pm local time on Thursday, June 25, where they found the body of an 84-year-old woman. Subsequently, a 53-year-old woman, reportedly acquainted with the deceased, was arrested at the scene and taken to Mount Druitt Hospital for evaluation.
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the incident but are appealing for anyone with relevant information to come forward. A spokesperson from New South Wales Police stated that an inquiry is ongoing following the discovery of the woman’s body at the aged care facility in Sydney’s west.
