“Mistaken Stabbing: Dog Attack Injures Man in Manchester”

A man sustained severe injuries in a dog attack in Greater Manchester, initially mistaken as a stabbing by authorities. Greater Manchester Police responded to a reported stabbing on Ormskirk Road, deploying an air ambulance at a nearby Aldi car park. Subsequent investigations revealed the incident occurred as a dog attack on Albert Street in the Newtown area of Manchester. The victim, a man in his 30s, was hospitalized with serious injuries, but his condition has since stabilized.

Four individuals, comprising three men and one woman, were arrested in connection with the incident for suspected ownership of a dangerous and uncontrollable dog. Following their release on bail, the dog involved was euthanized. A police spokesperson clarified that the initial report of a stabbing was, in fact, a dog attack causing significant harm to the victim. The authorities do not perceive this incident as an intentional attack, and there is no perceived threat to public safety related to this event.
