The Royal Family has joyously welcomed a new addition as a cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth and King Charles III announced the birth of her first child. Flora Vesterberg and her spouse, Swedish financier Timothy Vesterberg, shared the delightful news on Instagram, revealing the safe arrival of their baby girl on Wednesday, July 8.
Flora, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin Princess Alexandra, confirmed the news by posting a picture of the newborn peacefully sleeping in a crib, adorned in a white outfit and bonnet, and disclosed that the baby girl’s name is Isabel Marina.
In her caption, Flora expressed her and Timothy’s overwhelming joy and love for their daughter, Isabel Marina, explaining that the name honors her paternal great-grandmother and symbolizes their connection to the sea, where they find serenity in Scotland and Sweden.
Isabel is Princess Alexandra’s first great-grandchild and is now in line to the British throne, following her father, James, and brother, Alexander Ogilvy. Flora currently holds the 61st position in the line of succession, with Isabel expected to be the 62nd.
Flora had previously announced her pregnancy on Instagram in January, sharing the exciting news with a photo of herself and Timothy amidst greenery. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2020 and later celebrated with a church blessing at St. James’s Palace in 2021, attended by prominent guests including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Lady Amelia Windsor.
Known for her occasional presence at royal events, Flora was recently spotted at Lady Marina Windsor’s wedding in late June, where she showcased her baby bump in Instagram photos.
