“US-Iran Conflict Intensifies: Seventh Night of Strikes”

Date:

The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran escalated as both countries engaged in strikes for a seventh consecutive night, targeting key infrastructure and military installations in the escalating battle over the Strait of Hormuz.

Following the breakdown of an interim ceasefire and peace negotiations, the war that commenced over four months ago shows no sign of nearing a resolution.

The US Central Command reported that their latest series of strikes, carried out on Saturday, targeted various strategic sites including surveillance facilities, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapon storage, and maritime capabilities.

Simultaneously, Iran issued a ‘zero hour warning’ to the US after revealing that two oil tankers were set ablaze while attempting to pass through the strait.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Navy (IRGC-N) stated that they were closely monitoring the movements and equipment of the US military in the region’s waters, hinting at impending operations against US Central Command naval units.

Iran had effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz to shipping traffic at the start of the conflict on February 28, leading to a surge in oil prices and granting Iran significant negotiation leverage.

Recent US airstrikes, according to Iranian officials, have resulted in numerous casualties, with reports of additional injuries and deaths as the conflict continues. Kuwait and Iraq have also reported intercepting Iranian missiles and drones.

In a televised address to the nation, President Donald Trump expressed confidence in the progress of the war, assuring the American public that significant success against Iran was imminent.

Amid ongoing hostilities, Iran acknowledged attacks on power infrastructure during US airstrikes, leading to a plea from the Energy Ministry for reduced power consumption in southern provinces experiencing extreme heat.

US military sources confirmed additional injuries among service members, bringing the total count of casualties to 14 deaths and 427 wounded since the conflict began.
