A French-Swedish talent scout, Daniel Siad, who had been accused of involvement in the activities of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was found deceased near Paris. Siad, 69, was discovered at his residence by authorities on Monday evening. He faced allegations of collaborating with Epstein in trafficking and exploiting women, with five rape accusations stemming from declassified documents related to Epstein’s case.
The Nanterre prosecutor’s office confirmed the initiation of an investigation to determine the cause of Siad’s death. An autopsy will be conducted as part of the inquiry. Although Siad had not been formally interviewed by investigators, he had refuted the accusations, expressing a desire to provide his side of the story.
In correspondence found in the Epstein files, Siad likened his recruitment efforts to fishing, describing the process as sometimes successful and other times fruitless. He had emphasized that Epstein had abused his trust. Notably, in 2020, French authorities arrested another modeling agent, Jean-Luc Brunel, for allegedly procuring women for Epstein. Brunel passed away in prison in 2022, while Epstein died in prison in 2019 awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
