“Mystery Surrounds Death of Kind Scottish Woman Found in Greek Suitcase”

Date:

A woman from Scotland, known for her kindness, was discovered in a suitcase at an abandoned building in Greece. Elisabeth Jane Ross, also called Lisa, was found by a homeless individual in Kypseli, Athens, on July 18. Despite being deceased for about eight days, texts were sent from her phone after her passing until media coverage helped identify her. Greek authorities did not find any apparent injuries or signs of a struggle on Lisa’s body.

Police are investigating whether Lisa’s death was a criminal act, conducting toxicology tests. No evidence linking a third party to the incident was found on the body or the suitcase. Friends and family have expressed their grief on social media, praising Lisa’s kind nature and beautiful heart.

The rough sleeper who found her noticed a foul smell and a human limb protruding from the suitcase in a derelict building. Lisa, described as around 30 years old with reddish hair, was last seen wearing a T-shirt and black shorts with a French university emblem. It was reported that she arrived in Greece on June 29 and had been in contact with family members until her untimely death.

Authorities are working with Interpol and US investigators to aid in the investigation. Police Scotland is collaborating with Greek authorities, supporting Lisa’s family, and monitoring the case closely. No suspects have been identified as yet, and an autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
