A child sustained injuries when shards of glass were reportedly affixed to a slide at a park in Cardiff. The incident, which occurred between 2pm and 4pm on Mill Road, left the 10-year-old boy with torn clothes and a minor cut. The boy, unaware of the glass pieces on the slide, was playing with his family when the incident happened.
According to the boy’s mother, who chose to remain anonymous, the child was upset and expressed reluctance to return to the park after the incident. The mother expressed her anger and disappointment, stating that her son’s trust in the park was shattered due to the dangerous act of gluing glass to the slide.
The mother reported the incident to the police and attempted to contact the local council. Subsequently, a warning sign was placed on the slide cautioning park users against using glass on it. South Wales Police confirmed receiving a report about the incident, mentioning that the child suffered minor injuries and clothing damage. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
