Pastore was discovered at his residence in New York’s City Island after a period of unavailability. McGowan revealed that he had been attempting to contact Pastore regarding a potential work opportunity, praising him for his loyalty, charitable nature, and willingness to assist others.

Close friend and frequent collaborator Michael Imperioli expressed his deep sorrow on Instagram, reminiscing about their enduring friendship and shared experiences across various projects and countries. Pastore, a seasoned actor with a career spanning back to the 1980s, appeared in notable films like Goodfellas and Awakenings in 1990. Recognized for his portrayal of gangsters on screen, Pastore’s most iconic role was his portrayal of Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on The Sopranos.
