She mentioned being in Chester working on a podcast about Lucy Letby, the nurse convicted of killing seven babies.
Despite the audience’s anticipation to watch the documentary “Mouth of the Wolf,” the screening was canceled last minute due to licensing issues. The film, directed by her husband Christopher Robinson, documents her return to the location where Kercher was killed.
Reflecting on her time in prison, Knox revealed her initial devastation, fearing she would never have children and expressing her desire to be a mother. She mentioned the ongoing struggle to prove her innocence and the lasting impact the ordeal has had on her life, referring to a part of herself that will never fully recover from the experience.
Addressing the negative attention and scrutiny she faces wherever she goes, Knox recounted feeling like a prey animal pursued by the justice system and the media. She shared her thoughts about confronting the Italian prosecutor and expressed her frustration and disbelief at the situation.
Despite being acquitted by Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation in 2015, Knox continues to face criticism from some who view her as capitalizing on Kercher’s death for financial gain. The Kercher family’s lawyer criticized Knox for her media initiatives, questioning her motives and the frequency of her public engagements related to the case.
Meredith Kercher, a student at the University of Leeds, tragically lost her life in 2007. Following her murder, Knox and her boyfriend were questioned and later convicted in connection with the crime. However, both were eventually acquitted, while a third defendant was found guilty of sexual assault and murder based on evidence found at the crime scene.
