“Auger-Aliassime Falls to Tiafoe in Cincinnati Open”

Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime suffered a 6-3, 6-4 defeat against American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday evening. Despite Auger-Aliassime’s 13-2 lead in aces, he committed 37 unforced errors during the match. In contrast, Tiafoe, seeded 17th, only made 16 unforced errors and managed to secure the win in one hour and 40 minutes.

During the third-round doubles competition, Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and Barbora Krejcikova from Czechia lost 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 to the Czech pair of Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova. Dabrowski, hailing from Ottawa, typically partners with Luisa Stefani, but Stefani has been dealing with an elbow injury in recent weeks.
