A top Aviva executive, David Barral, tragically lost his life in a fatal car crash involving his Aston Martin on a country road near Wetherby, West Yorkshire. The incident occurred on October 14 when Barral’s grey DBX SUV veered off the road and collided with a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
During the initial stages of the investigation, a pathologist determined that Barral succumbed to severe injuries from the crash. The West Yorkshire area coroner, Oliver Longstaff, confirmed the details of the incident and officially identified Barral’s passing at the scene on A58 Leeds Road in Bardsey.
