In a recent court testimony, a British woman revealed that Barron Trump, the youngest son of Donald Trump, played a crucial role in saving her life. Barron, 19, dialed emergency services after witnessing her ex-boyfriend allegedly attacking her during a FaceTime call in January 2025.
The woman’s former partner, 22-year-old Matvei Rumiantsev, a former MMA fighter from east London, is currently facing trial for multiple charges, including assault, bodily harm, rape, strangulation, and perverting justice. Prosecutors claim that Rumiantsev became violent due to jealousy over the woman’s friendship with Barron, leading to the alleged incident on January 18 last year.
During the trial, jurors heard details of the assault, where Rumiantsev reportedly physically and verbally abused the woman. Barron’s 999 call was played in court, where he urgently reported the ongoing attack to the emergency operator.
Police responded to the call, and bodycam footage showed officers arriving at the scene. The woman, identified as a friend of Barron Trump, affirmed her connection to the President’s son during the police questioning.
In her testimony, the woman expressed gratitude towards Barron for his intervention, stating that his call was a crucial moment that potentially saved her life. The court also learned about previous instances of abuse by Rumiantsev, including allegations of rape and attempts to coerce the woman into retracting her statements.
During cross-examination, Rumiantsev’s barrister challenged the woman’s account, accusing her of fabricating the assault claims. The woman vehemently denied these accusations, emphasizing the seriousness of her situation.
