A young lady named Scarlett Greenwood, who works for the NHS, recently endured a painful accident that shattered her teeth. After spending five years wearing braces to perfect her smile, Scarlett unfortunately tripped on some steps, resulting in serious injuries to her face and teeth. The incident occurred as she hurried inside her partner’s residence to escape the cold last month.
As a consequence of the fall, Scarlett broke her nose, lost a tooth, and sustained significant damage to her two front teeth. The dental injuries she suffered require an estimated £8,000 for treatment. Disturbing photos taken after the accident show her front teeth dislodged and forced back into her mouth, hanging by their roots with her lip torn and bleeding.
Following the incident, Scarlett promptly sought medical attention, where doctors managed to reposition her front teeth and secure them with a temporary wire. Despite undergoing surgery to repair her broken nose, Scarlett continues to experience severe discomfort as her damaged teeth are deteriorating.
Scarlett had previously worn braces for five years to correct an overbite, only having them removed in 2022. Losing the smile she had worked so hard to achieve has been emotionally distressing for her and has negatively impacted her confidence.
Due to her age, Scarlett is not eligible for NHS funding for dental treatments, leaving her with the financial burden of covering the £8,000 cost for her necessary procedures, including a bone graft. The damage to her front teeth has left them with severed nerves and infections, necessitating their removal and the placement of four implants.
The ongoing pain and dietary restrictions resulting from her dental injuries have taken a toll on Scarlett’s well-being, preventing her from working and causing sleepless nights. To help finance her urgent dental care, Scarlett has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her treatment.
