“British Man, 20, in Coma After Greece Quad Bike Crash”

Date:

A young man, aged 20, is in critical condition in a hospital following a serious quad bike accident while on a trip with friends in Greece. The individual, identified as Bradley Belhomme from Salford, sustained severe head injuries after colliding with a coach in Zante last week. He and his friends had rented the quad bikes, and the accident occurred while he was riding with another friend who was also injured and hospitalized. Bradley is currently in a coma in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Attica, Athens, as confirmed by his family.

According to Bradley’s mother, Leanne Rabbetts, the incident happened on the second day of the holiday when she received a distressing call informing her of the crash. Bradley was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Athens due to the severity of his condition. Despite efforts to bring him out of the coma, Bradley has not shown any response, and medical professionals are monitoring his condition closely.

Bradley’s family is unsure about his travel insurance coverage and are in contact with the British Embassy for assistance. Fundraising initiatives and social media appeals have been launched to support Bradley’s medical expenses. Bradley’s uncle, Adam, expressed concern about the uncertain timeline for Bradley’s recovery and the financial implications if insurance coverage is insufficient.

The community has rallied behind Bradley, describing him as a likable young man who set out on a holiday to enjoy himself. The family is facing challenges due to the language barrier and strict hospital protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They are hopeful for Bradley’s recovery and are focused on ensuring his well-being and eventual return home.
