A prominent British musician is set to embark on a journey from Berlin back to London following the conclusion of his European tour. Jack Cullen will undertake the remarkable challenge of running 22 ultra marathons in 22 days, covering a distance greater than 26.2 miles each day. The total distance from Berlin to London exceeds 700 miles. Upon reaching London, Jack will perform at a venue in Hackney for his devoted fans, friends, and family. The fundraising run commences this Friday.
In an interview with the Mirror, Jack expressed his anticipation for the physical and emotional rollercoaster ahead, including moments of pain, laughter, and indulging in plenty of bakery treats. Despite facing a setback with an ankle ligament injury during preparation, Jack views the unexpected nature of the adventure as part of the excitement. Supported by his brother, best friend, and sister as the crew, Jack aims to disconnect from distractions, reconnect with himself, and draw inspiration for new music while supporting the charity Mind.
Aged 30 and hailing from Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, Jack is a talented artist signed with Sony RCA. His career transitioned from professional rugby to music after an injury ended his sports pursuits. Known for his endurance challenges, Jack previously completed 12 marathons in 12 days for cancer research, leading to the release of his debut EP ’12’ in May 2024. His notable achievements also include a 650-mile cycling journey from Edinburgh to the Glastonbury Festival, showcasing his music along the way.
Before his music career took off, Jack achieved international rugby accolades at various youth levels, representing Ireland in U-18, U-19, and U-20 competitions. His rugby journey began at Bishop’s Stortford, followed by stints at Saracens academy, Irish Exiles, and Munster. Jack’s multifaceted experiences in sports and music have shaped his unique career path, blending athleticism and artistry into his creative endeavors.
