The family of a British rugby player has honored him after his recent death. Scot James passed away following an alleged assault while vacationing in Turkey, leaving him in a coma. The 34-year-old from Maesteg died at The Royal Glamorgan hospital on July 26 after being airlifted back to Wales from Turkey on July 24.

His family has now paid tribute to him as a devoted son, brother, partner, father, uncle, and friend. In a heartfelt message released through the police, they described him as a kind-hearted individual with a great sense of humor and a talent for bringing people together.

The family expressed their deep sorrow over his untimely passing, emphasizing the love he shared and the lasting impact he had on others. They thanked everyone for their support and asked for privacy as they mourn and come to terms with their loss.

His local rugby club, Maesteg Celtics RFC, also honored Scot on social media, remembering him as an exceptional player and a beloved friend. The FCDO spokesperson confirmed they are assisting the family and liaising with local authorities regarding the incident in Turkey.
