A British tourist has passed away in Mallorca, triggering a police inquiry following the discovery of glass fragments in his head.
The 26-year-old was found deceased in a rental property in Santa Margalida, located in the island’s northern region, at approximately 7:30 a.m. today. Authorities have interrogated four men and two women who were present at the residence. A representative of the Civil Guard confirmed the deceased individual’s nationality as British.
Law enforcement officials are examining the possibility that the victim’s death resulted from an accidental incident involving a glass door impact, although a conclusive determination is premature. No arrests have been made, and the identities of the other individuals at the property have not been disclosed.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted soon in Palma, the capital of Mallorca, under the supervision of the Civil Guard. Santa Margalida, situated near attractions such as the Bay of Alcudia and approximately 30 miles from Palma Airport, is known for its historical and agricultural significance.
In a separate incident, a British man who had been reported missing was discovered deceased on a beach in Costa del Sol. The individual, aged 25, had gone missing after entering the water at Misericordia Beach in Malaga. His body was found on Huelin Beach the following morning. Authorities have confirmed his British nationality, and the cause of death remains undetermined pending the autopsy results.
Spain’s National Police spokesperson stated that the man’s death is not considered suspicious, emphasizing that no evidence of criminal activity has been identified.
