“California Couple’s Heroic Attempt to Save Man from Crocodile Attack in Mexico”

Date:

A man in his late twenties, identified as Irving from Mexico City, was attacked by a large crocodile while swimming at Marina Vallarta Beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Jamie Yetter and her fiancé, Chris Bury, witnessed the incident and attempted to rescue him.

Upon hearing screams from the beach, Jamie and Chris, both strong swimmers from Southern California, rushed to the scene thinking the man was trapped in a rip current. They grabbed a kayak and paddled out to help, only to discover that the man was under attack by the crocodile.

The crocodile, described as massive by Jamie, had clamped its jaws around the man’s thigh, pulling him underwater. Despite their efforts, the man could not be saved, and his remains were recovered twelve hours later. Authorities revealed that the victim was on vacation with friends when the tragic incident occurred.

Warning signs about the presence of dangerous marine life, including crocodiles, had been posted along the path from the hotel to the beach, as reported by Jamie. The couple expressed their sorrow and shock at the devastating outcome of the rescue attempt.
