“Child Severely Injured in Pub Dog Attack”

A young child suffered severe facial injuries after being attacked by a dog at a pub in Staffordshire. The incident occurred in the beer garden of The Wulstan in Wolstanton on Wednesday afternoon. Staffordshire Police confirmed that the child has since been released from the hospital. Philip Preece, a pub regular who witnessed the attack, identified the dog as possibly a Bulldog breed.

Preece recounted the harrowing moment when the child, seated with his mother and playing with toys, was suddenly rushed inside the pub in a state of distress. He mentioned that the dog, initially unleashed, was quickly restrained after the incident. Emergency services arrived promptly, and the child was swiftly taken to the hospital for treatment.
