In a recent incident in Poland, a 35-year-old man wanted for murder was exposed by his six-year-old child who whispered a crucial clue to the police. The man, who had a previous criminal record, was hiding in an apartment in Wola Krzysztoporska, a town near Łódź.
When police arrived at the apartment, the man’s partner initially denied his presence. However, during a search of the residence, the child indicated that “Daddy is playing hide and seek” and pointed to a sofa bed. The police found the man hiding in the sofa bed and arrested him to serve his 15-year sentence.
The partner of the wanted man may also face legal consequences for her actions on the scene, possibly resulting in a sentence of up to five years. The Regional Court in Legnica issued the order for the man’s capture, with the investigation led by the Głogów District Prosecutor’s Office.
Assistant Inspector Edyta Daroch of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Piotrków Trybunalski confirmed the sequence of events, emphasizing the child’s pivotal role in uncovering the fugitive. The police followed the child’s lead, leading to the apprehension of the wanted man.
