An upcoming feature called automated password change aims to simplify the process of enhancing online security. Users will be automatically notified by Chrome if their password is compromised in a cyber hack, offering a more secure alternative.
Google explained that Chrome’s Password Manager will prompt users to fix compromised passwords automatically during sign-in. Additionally, on supported websites, Chrome can generate a strong replacement password and update it automatically for users, streamlining the security maintenance process.

The news coincides with Google’s recent release of a critical update addressing a significant vulnerability, flagged with a ‘zero-day’ rating, indicating active exploitation by hackers.
