Although Mr. Farage has been an MP for just over two years, Clacton residents may soon have to vote again, this time choosing between him and Count Binface, a comedian running against him. Some locals have branded Farage’s decision as a misuse of funds, suggesting that the money could be better utilized for the town’s improvement.
Bus driver Lee Sommerville, 52, condemned Mr. Farage’s actions, linking them to the investigation into a £5 million gift the MP received. Sommerville expressed frustration over Farage’s absence in the area, likening him to a “mini Trump” and highlighting the need for infrastructure improvements instead of a costly by-election.
