Closure for Victoria: Mother Dies Before Killer’s Confession

Date:

Victoria Hall’s mother passed away before witnessing justice for her daughter’s murder. Lorinda Hall died 46 days before the killer confessed to the crime, leaving her family grieving. Her father expressed that while finding the culprit wouldn’t bring Victoria back, it would provide closure.

Lorinda Hall, aged 70, breathed her last at Ipswich Hospital, yearning for the truth for over 25 years. She was laid to rest at Seven Hills Crematorium near Ipswich. Serial killer Steve Wright, already serving a life sentence for other murders, finally admitted to Victoria’s murder at the Old Bailey.

Victoria, a 17-year-old from Trimley St Mary, Suffolk, disappeared after a night out in 1999. Her body was found days later, miles away from where she was last seen. Described as a beloved daughter and friend, Victoria’s family and friends mourn her loss.

Despite the long wait for justice, Victoria’s family held onto hope. In 2019, her father spoke of the challenging 20-year journey. Remembered as a vibrant and joyful young woman, Victoria was pursuing her studies with aspirations of attending university.

The community fondly remembered Victoria as a bright and cheerful individual who left a lasting impact on those around her.
