The actors of Meghan Markle’s latest movie have shared insights into the real persona of the Duchess of Sussex.
The film, “Cookie Queens,” follows the journey of four Girl Scouts as they navigate the annual cookie-selling season in the US, focusing on Nikki B and her sister Nala. Nikki B described her meeting with Meghan as a dream come true, expressing her excitement at meeting royalty in person.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who also served as executive producers for the film, collaborated with director Alysa Nahmia to emphasize the significance of the Girl Scouts industry. The movie premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Despite criticism directed at Meghan for a minor fashion mishap at the event, attendees praised the former actress for her positive influence and charismatic personality.
One of the Girl Scouts featured in the documentary, Olive G, expressed amazement at being part of a project viewed by Meghan and Harry, whom she had seen in a documentary on Netflix.
Director Nahmia highlighted the Girl Scouts industry’s financial success, mentioning the business’s annual revenue of £600 million and the valuable skills young girls acquire through selling cookies. She raised concerns about the pressure young participants face from various sources, terming it a learning experience in capitalism.
During the event, Meghan, along with her husband and their Archewell Productions team, expressed pride in supporting and showcasing the Cookie Queens. She commended the film for blending nostalgia with a modern perspective on the girlhood experience, portraying its complexity.
