A group of dogs bravely pursued a man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault two women on the street. The incident was captured on video, showing the man fleeing with eight dogs in close pursuit.
The man’s assault on the women was thwarted by the dogs after he tried to drag one of them away while they were out walking their pets in Melbourne, Australia. When the first woman managed to break free, the man targeted her friend, triggering the dogs to spring into action.
Video footage depicts the man running along the banks of Gardiners Creek in Kooyong, with several dogs chasing after him. Victoria Police have launched an investigation into the attempted assault that occurred around 11.30 am on a Tuesday. The police confirmed that the dogs involved belonged to the women targeted by the assailant.
One of the larger dogs in the pack, a blue heeler, caught up to the man and bit his leg, causing him to flee towards a freeway underpass. Authorities are now seeking a man dressed in a black tracksuit, white socks, slides, and a grey hooded top, carrying a bright blue backpack, matching the description of the individual in the video.
