According to the GFS weather model, snow is expected to sweep across the UK starting on the morning of February 13, affecting Northern Ireland, Wales, and central and northern England, as well as Scotland.
Major cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Glasgow are likely to be impacted. Even London could experience snowfall.
By midday on February 13, the weather maps indicate that the heaviest snowfall will occur in eastern and northern regions, particularly affecting East Anglia, Yorkshire, and Scotland.
The second blizzard is anticipated to hit Britain on February 15, with Northern Ireland facing the brunt of the heavy snow initially. The Midlands and north-west England may also see snow in the early hours.
Around 3am, the GFS model forecasts intense snowfall from East Anglia through central and northern England to Northern Ireland, with the snow progressing northward to engulf Scotland by 6am.
Snow coverage maps illustrate that most of Britain and Northern Ireland are likely to witness snow accumulation, with only southern parts of England possibly escaping without any snow by 3pm on February 13.
Snow depth charts suggest that the Scottish Highlands could see up to 36cm (14 inches) of snow, while parts of northern England may receive as much as 11cm (four inches).
