Budget carrier easyJet has announced the introduction of new flight routes from the United Kingdom to a city recognized as Europe’s Leading City Break Destination at the 2025 World Travel Awards.
Commencing in the spring, easyJet will operate three additional routes to Lisbon Airport, offering fares starting at £26 for a one-way trip. Flights originating from Glasgow will commence on March 29, followed by services from Liverpool on March 31, and a seasonal route from Newcastle upon Tyne running from June 22 to August 28.
While Lisbon is renowned as a popular city break destination, it also boasts close proximity to picturesque Portuguese coastlines. With temperatures rising to 20C in March and April, Lisbon provides an ideal springtime getaway option. The flights are under three hours, making it accessible for short vacations.
As the capital of Portugal, Lisbon is a vibrant cultural center steeped in history. Alfama, the oldest district, features narrow, cobblestone streets navigated by historic trams, with the iconic number 28 tram recommended for sightseeing.
