A man has been taken into custody in relation to the passing of an elderly woman. The man, aged 75, was apprehended after the discovery of the 82-year-old woman at a residence on Elm Avenue in Cherry Willingham, Lincolnshire, on Monday afternoon.
Authorities have notified the woman’s relatives. Lincolnshire Police spokesperson stated, “The woman’s death is currently being treated as suspicious, pending the results of tests and toxicology to gain a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding her demise. No additional suspects are being sought in connection with the case.”
A watch is being maintained at the location while investigators delve into the incident, officially recorded as 313 of 12/01/26. Police presence is anticipated to persist at the scene until late into the following day.
