Epstein emailed the picture to himself on August 3, 2015, a day after boasting about his encounter with tech executives at an upscale dinner.
In correspondence with author Peter Attia on August 2, 2015, Epstein inquired about his whereabouts and mentioned his plans for dinner with Musk, Peter Thiel, and Zuckerberg. Attia responded positively to the dinner plans.
Confirming the dinner, Epstein informed US businessman Tom Pritzker in an email on August 20, 2015, that he had a “wild” dinner with Zuckerberg, Musk, Thiel, and Hoffman.
Despite Musk’s previous claim of avoiding Epstein’s Little St. John island, recent revelations from the Epstein Files disclosed their cordial conversations. Musk inquired about parties on Epstein’s island in November 2012, and continued to exchange messages about visiting the island in subsequent years.
Musk addressed the emails on Twitter, expressing concerns about potential attempts to tarnish his reputation and advocated for holding those involved in serious crimes accountable.
The Epstein Files have raised questions about the connections between tech billionaires and Epstein post his 2008 conviction for child sex offenses. There were mentions of Zuckerberg attending a group dinner hosted by Reid Hoffman in Palo Alto.
The content of discussions during the 2015 dinner remains unclear. Interactions with Epstein do not imply wrongdoing, and there is no evidence of ongoing communication between Zuckerberg and Epstein post the dinner.
A Meta spokesperson reiterated that Mark Zuckerberg only encountered Epstein once at a dinner event not organized by Epstein and had no further communication with him.
