Their email exchange continued into early 2014, with Musk proposing a visit on December 25, 2013, but later regretfully informing Epstein on December 30 that his commitments in New York prevented him from attending. Despite the correspondence, there is no implication of any wrongdoing, as individuals mentioned in previous releases have denied any misconduct related to Epstein.
In another message from Epstein in 2012, there was mention of Elon Musk attending an event organized by Epstein. The exchange included details about the party and Musk’s potential presence. These messages were disclosed as part of the latest release of the Epstein Files by the US Department of Justice.
The communication between Musk and Epstein may raise inquiries about their relationship, given Musk’s prior assertion that he had declined to visit Epstein’s island. Musk, in response to being named in previous Epstein Files, criticized media coverage for misrepresentation and emphasized his refusal to visit the island despite being named before other high-profile figures.
Furthermore, Musk stirred controversy when he suggested on social media that the release of the Epstein Files was being obstructed by Donald Trump due to his involvement. This led to a temporary rift between Musk and Trump, although they have since been seen together, indicating a more amicable relationship.
