“Escape to FIB Benicàssim: Your Perfect Summer Festival Getaway”

Date:

With Glastonbury taking a break in 2026, festival enthusiasts are seeking other options for their summer entertainment. Fortunately, there are numerous alternatives to the renowned UK festival, both domestically and across Europe.

One standout choice is located just a short two-and-a-half-hour flight from the UK, renowned for its sunny climate, impressive lineup of performers, and cost-effectiveness.

FIB Benicàssim, commonly known as Benicàssim, is held in Castelló de la Plana near Valencia. The festival, scheduled for July, guarantees sunny skies, allowing attendees to focus on assembling stylish festival attire instead of rain gear.

In addition to the music, Benicàssim offers proximity to the Spanish coast, providing opportunities to relax on the beach, explore local nightclubs, or simply bask in the sun. The 2026 lineup includes popular acts like Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, Kaiser Chiefs, The Prodigy, Biffy Clyro, and The Fratellis, alongside emerging artists like DEADLETTER, Circa Waves, and RATA.

Comparatively, ticket prices for Benicàssim are more budget-friendly than Glastonbury. While a Glastonbury ticket in 2025 cost £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee, a three-day pass for FIB Benicàssim is available for just €55 (£47). It’s advisable to secure tickets promptly due to limited availability.

For an enhanced experience, VIP tickets are offered at €145 (approximately £126), granting access to VIP amenities such as bars, food options, expedited entry lanes, and three pints of beer. Notably, VIP ticket holders also enjoy access to upgraded restroom facilities.

Golden VIP tickets, priced at €270 (around £235), provide all the perks of the VIP pass, plus front-stage access at the Main Stage and nine beverages. Camping is not included in the ticket price, but various accommodation options are available.

For those preferring not to camp, alternative accommodations in Castellón or Oropesa are viable options, with official shuttle buses connecting these areas to the festival grounds. Wristbands for unlimited shuttle rides can be purchased for added convenience.

After the festival festivities, consider extending your stay in Valencia for a few extra days of relaxation. Grau de Castelló offers a Mediterranean ambiance, authentic dining experiences, picturesque mountain views, and beautiful beaches.

Travel options for British attendees include Castellón–Costa Azahar Airport, just a short distance from the festival, or Valencia Airport, about an hour away. Airlines like Ryanair and easyJet offer flights from various UK cities to these airports.
