“Exotic Dancer Accused of Beheading Partner”

Date:

An individual working as an exotic dancer was taken into custody for allegedly beheading her partner, whom she had been in a relationship with for only two months.

Enrique Gonzalez-Carbajal, aged 55, was discovered decapitated at the residence of his girlfriend, Alyssa Marie Lira, in Anaheim, California, on August 25. Authorities swiftly identified Lira, 23, as the prime suspect but struggled to apprehend her as she reportedly fled to Mexico.

Law enforcement officials revealed that Lira, who was employed as a stripper when the incident occurred, has been extradited from Mexico to face charges of murder along with a weapon-related felony enhancement.

The couple met while Lira was working as an exotic dancer at a local strip club in California. Their relationship ended tragically with Enrique’s untimely death after just two months.

Following a collaborative effort between the FBI, Mexican authorities, and local police, Lira was captured on January 22. She was subsequently transferred to Orange County authorities at the San Ysidro Port of Entry the following day.

Details regarding the exact location in Mexico where Lira was apprehended have not been disclosed. Additionally, prosecutors have not shared a motive behind the fatal attack. If convicted, Lira could potentially face a maximum sentence of 26 years in prison.

The suspect is set to be formally charged on February 13 and is currently being held without bail at the Orange County Jail. The arraignment is scheduled to take place at the North Justice Center in Fullerton.

District Attorney Todd Spitzer emphasized the relentless pursuit of justice, stating, “Nothing — not time, not distance nor foreign borders — will thwart our pursuit of justice.” The collaborative effort of law enforcement agencies led to the apprehension of the suspect in a foreign country and her return to face legal consequences in the United States.

This incident follows a separate case where a father allegedly murdered his four children and concealed their bodies in a car while continuing to socialize with individuals.

Wellington Delano Dickens III was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree murder on October 28. The 38-year-old father contacted the police, denying torture but admitting to “over-punishing” his children.

Upon investigation at their North Carolina residence, authorities discovered the deceased bodies of the four children in the vehicle. Additionally, the father was accused of engaging with individuals he met on the Grindr dating app following the alleged crime.
