Fashion Retailer Quiz Enters Administration, 109 Jobs Lost

Date:

Fashion retailer Quiz has gone into administration, resulting in the loss of 109 jobs. The redundancies are affecting positions at the company’s head office in Glasgow and warehouse in Lanarkshire. The Quiz website has been shut down, and customers are being informed that any pending online orders will be canceled.

Customers are advised that Quiz is not providing refunds and instead suggesting contacting their bank or credit card provider for reimbursement. For purchases over £100 made with a credit card, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act may be used to claim a refund. Debit card purchases or credit card transactions under £100 within the last 120 days may be eligible for a refund through Chargeback.

Alternatively, customers can exchange unwanted items at Quiz stores for products of equal value. The online store is no longer operational, as stated on the Quiz website. The company is recommending customers to visit physical stores for exchanges or replacements.

Although Quiz stores are open, the retailer is no longer accepting gift cards. The company has 40 stores across the UK and concessions in New Look and Matalan stores. The administration includes Quiz’s seven concessions in the Republic of Ireland, where the company employs a total of 565 workers.

This is the second time Quiz has entered administration within a year, having previously collapsed in February 2025 before being acquired through a pre-pack deal. Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs from Interpath have been appointed as joint administrators. McAlinden stated that all stores and Irish concessions will continue operating while options for the business are assessed.

Jacobs urged interested parties to contact them for acquiring stock, store operations, and infrastructure. They emphasized providing support to impacted employees during this challenging period.
