A 26-year-old man, identified as Aurelio Mejía, was fatally stabbed outside a nightclub while attempting to assist his friend in defusing a confrontation, reports suggest. Mejía sustained fatal injuries despite paramedics being called to the scene around 4 am.
Witnesses described a violent altercation involving two groups of men, possibly club attendees, wielding machetes.
