The father of a 14-year-old girl who passed away following an undisclosed breast enhancement surgery has made a heartfelt appeal. Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo tragically died a week after the procedure, with the official cause of death cited as complications related to a respiratory condition.
Carlos Arellano, her father, alleges that the breast augmentation surgery was the direct cause of her demise and is calling for a thorough investigation, claiming he was unaware of the operation being performed without his consent. He only became aware of the situation during his daughter’s funeral, where he noticed the presence of breast implants and scars. He expressed disbelief, stating, “Her death certificate inaccurately attributed ‘illness’ as the cause of death in an apparent effort to conceal the truth.”
Paloma’s passing occurred in a Durango hospital in Mexico on September 20, as reported by NeedToKnow. Carlos raised concerns regarding the swift issuance of his daughter’s death certificate, questioning the rapid process, stating, “They provided it immediately; I am unsure how it was expedited so swiftly.” The certificate indicated cerebral edema due to a respiratory illness as the cause of death.
Following the funeral, Carlos lodged a formal complaint upon suspecting underlying circumstances surrounding his daughter’s suffering and death. Alleging a potential cover-up, he demanded a thorough investigation of all parties involved. The Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that an inquiry is underway.
In a separate incident, a grieving husband has paid tribute to his late wife who tragically passed away shortly after undergoing cosmetic procedures in Turkey. Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini traveled from Mozambique with Elgar Miles for breast enhancement, liposuction, and rhinoplasty. However, the 31-year-old singer suffered a fatal cardiac arrest post-surgery at Tusa Hospital in Istanbul.
Mr. Miles, who had recently married Mrs. Buldrini, shared that it was her aspiration to enhance her aesthetic appeal. Allegedly receiving the treatments in exchange for promoting Tusa Hospital, the couple had been socializing with the operating surgeon in Istanbul the night of the surgery.
According to Mr. Miles, also an artist, his wife was rushed into surgery earlier than scheduled, just two days after an initial consultation. “Due to scheduling conflicts, the surgeon opted to move it up to Sunday,” he mentioned.
Despite purportedly being out the previous night, Mrs. Buldrini proceeded with the surgery based on assurance from the doctor. She underwent the procedures and was taken out of surgery by 11 pm on Sunday. However, her heart rate began dropping, and Mr. Miles noticed a change in the staff’s demeanor.
“They asked me to wait in the room, and the assistants were acting strangely. After waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes, they finally brought her out,” he recounted. “When I went downstairs, a doctor informed me that her heart rate was low, while another confirmed she had passed away.”
