A grieving father expressed his profound sorrow over the loss of his daughter, who tragically passed away the day before her birthday. The young girl, Olivia Grace Edwards, aged 8, became unwell at Kingwells park and ride in Aberdeen around 8:40 pm on Saturday. Despite swift emergency response and transfer to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, Olivia was tragically declared deceased shortly after.
In a heartfelt online message, Mark, Olivia’s devastated father, conveyed his deep anguish, stating that he would trade places with his daughter if he could. He emotionally shared, “I have no easy way to say this, but on Saturday we suddenly lost our baby girl. Words cannot express how shattered our family feels at this moment. I would give anything to switch places with my beautiful girl, who would have turned 9 today. I kindly ask for understanding as we navigate through this difficult time.”
The Kingswells School Parent Teacher Association and Parent Council also offered condolences, acknowledging the profound impact of Olivia’s untimely passing on the community. The police spokesperson confirmed that Olivia was taken to the hospital following concerns about her health but unfortunately could not be saved. The authorities are treating her death as unexplained with no suspicious circumstances identified.
