A 12-year-old girl was subjected to a horrific incident involving rape, torture, and murder.
The victim, Lola Daviet, was discovered deceased in a suitcase in Paris. Following a prompt police inquiry, 24-year-old Dahbia Benkired was apprehended. Benkired has made history in France by becoming the first woman to receive a life sentence without the possibility of parole for her involvement in these appalling crimes.
During the court proceedings, disturbing details emerged about Lola’s final moments. Lola, who enjoyed camping trips with her family, encountered Benkired, a homeless Algerian immigrant, outside her apartment building. Surveillance footage captured Benkired unlawfully entering the building and lurking in the hallways.
The last footage of Lola showed her encountering Benkired in the corridor. Subsequently, Benkired confessed in court that she coerced Lola to accompany her, then restrained, assaulted, and ultimately killed her.
Following a forced shower, Lola was sexually assaulted and bound with tape. Benkired proceeded to inflict further harm on Lola, leading to her death. The perpetrator then concealed the body in a large suitcase.
After disposing of the evidence, Benkired left the scene. Surveillance footage captured her using suitcases to prop open the building’s entrance and transport the victim’s body out.
During the trial, Benkired was condemned by Lola’s family as a “monster devil” and was sentenced to life imprisonment for her abhorrent actions.
Notable individuals serving similar sentences include Salah Abdeslam, a Belgian terrorist involved in the ISIS attacks in Paris in November 2015, where 130 people lost their lives.
