Following a formal state banquet, Melania Trump joined Princess Kate for an outdoor event with the Scouts, an organization the future queen supports. They interacted with the children, played games, and admired the kids’ artwork.
The Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields, supervised the event with children aged four to six, where the First Lady received candid questions. Fields praised Kate and Melania for their natural interactions with the children and their active participation in activities like parachute games and art projects.
During the event, a child innocently asked Melania if she was the next princess, showcasing the unfiltered nature of young minds. Melania engaged with the children, asking questions, sharing stories, and creating artwork with them.
Fields commended Melania for her engagement and curiosity, noting how the experience would allow her to share the UK’s Scout activities back in the US. He highlighted Kate’s dedication to early childhood development and her longstanding involvement with youth organizations, including her role as royal patron of the Scout Association since 2012.
Living in North Wales early in her marriage, Kate volunteered with the Scouts before becoming Joint President in 2020. Her commitment to supporting young people aligns with her passion for early years development.
