Five teenagers have been apprehended on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased man in Stockton. Cleveland Police responded to a call at Egglescliffe Close in the Hardwick area around 6:50 pm on Saturday, where the lifeless body of a 49-year-old man was found.
According to reports from TeessideLive, a 19-year-old man, two 18-year-old men, and two 17-year-old boys were arrested overnight in connection with the murder and were taken into police custody. Witnesses observed a police presence at the scene the following morning, with a section of a car wash and bushes cordoned off since approximately 8:00 pm the previous evening.
In a statement, Cleveland Police confirmed the arrests, stating that the incident occurred on January 10 in Stockton. They urged the public not to share any related footage circulating on social media to avoid interfering with legal proceedings. Individuals with information, CCTV footage, or doorbell camera recordings relevant to the case were encouraged to contact Cleveland Police by quoting reference number SE26005815.
